Benji Bailey

Artist Statement

My influences are artists like Neckface and bands like the Grateful Dead and Phish, all of whom have an overwhelming theme of creativity and going off the beaten path when creating art. My favorite process when making art is getting all of my friends to come over and make shirts with me.

Benji Bailey is from Barcombe in England, but currently lives in Earlysville, Virginia. He likes to make lots of tie dyes and various other pieces of art with themes of psychedelia and street art, most of which he gives away to friends and family. He takes lots of influence from street artists like Neckface, and the Grateful Dead lot scene where tie dye and making and selling clothes is a very big theme.
